Directions

Step 1
Determine the Desired Strap Length
- Measure the outer dimension of the beam. Figure A
- Calculate the length of strap based on the beam’s outer dimensions plus how many sides you want to cover.
- Cut the strap to length. Figure B
- Lightly score a v-groove into the strap to allow it to bend more easily at the corners.
HINT: Before cutting take into consideration the location of the clavos. You may need to trim from two sides to get the desired section of strap.

Step 2
Apply Adhesive
Apply a ¼” bead of adhesive to the back of the strap, avoiding the edges.

Step 3
Install Strap
- Press the strap to the beam working from the center to ensure good contact between the adhesive and the beam.
- Screw the strap to the beam.
- Wipe off any excess adhesive with a clean cloth.
HINT: Before cutting take into consideration the location of the clavos. You may need to trim from two sides to get the desired section of strap.

Step 4
Touch-up
- Look at the strap from the ground. If the strap is not laying flat against the beam install additional screws.
- If screw heads are visible, hide them using black caulk or permanent marker.
