Which faux wood beam style is right for me?

Quick Ship vs. Custom Sized

Most of our beam styles are available for shipment from our suppliers within 1 to 2 weeks. These beams are produced from molds with pre-set sizes and lengths, and are identified as Quick Ship.  The advantages of buying Quick Ship beams over Custom Sized include lower pricing, sometimes by almost half,  and shorter lead times in receiving.  If your project calls for sizes/lengths that are not available in our Quick Ship assortment, our suppliers can, in most styles, produce the Custom sizes and lengths you need.  If you're leaning towards a particular beam that is not available in custom sizes, an alternate beam with a very similar style is always available on our site.  For example, if you like the look of Majestic (Quick Ship only) but need a size not available in that particular texture, you can switch off to Woodcrafted or Sandblasted, both of which are available for custom sizing.  Quick Ship beams ship in 1 to 2 weeks, Custom Sized beams in 3 to 4 weeks from placement of your order with us.

Quick Ship styles include Old Tuscan, Woodcrafted, Old Timber, Sandblasted, Majestic, Rustic and Rough Sawn.

Custom Sized styles include Old Tuscan, Woodcrafted, Hand Hewn, Wind Drift, Saw Cut, Old Timber and Sandblasted.

Please see chart below for more detailed information on each of our beam styles.

Aged Beams
Rustic beams are just that, the perfect complement to an Italian or Old-World look or as an accent to 18th Century American décor. Our rustic or distressed beams feature deep cracks and splits and in one case, axe marks as if chopped by hand. Beam styles include Old Tuscan, Old Timber, Rustic, and Hand Hewn, and are available in a variety sizes, colors and prices.

Contemporary Beams
Our raised grain beams include Majestic, Woodcrafted, Sandblasted and Wind Drift. Several of these are available as four-sided beams for applications such as truss systems or in any other setting where the top of the beam would be visible from above. Raised grain beams can take on many different looks with the addition of corbels.

Saw Cut Beams
Look no further than our mill cut beams for that rough-sawn cedar texture. Our Saw Cut and Rough Sawn styles feature a “pebbled” texture as if cut on an old circular blade in a lumber mill. Like our raised grain and rustic beams, mill cut beams are available in a wide variety of sizes, lengths and colors.
